Our "Crystal Family" fun parks in the Fellhorn/Kanzelwand area and the mini park at Söllereck will delight freeskiers and snowboarders alike, and are suitable for all abilities and ages.
The Fellhorn, Kanzelwand, Nebelhorn, and Ifen ski areas are currently open at the OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN (Oberstdorf · Kleinwalsertal Mountain Lifts). From December 19th, just in time for the start of the Bavarian Christmas holidays, the Heubergarena and the Walmendinger Horn will also open – meaning all mountains at the OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN are now open for winter operations.
Excellent slope conditions – skiing guaranteed around Christmas and New Year's
This is made possible by meticulous, digitally controlled grooming, professional snow management, and forward-thinking planning: Intensive preparations were already underway in November, with snow depots being created accordingly.
Starting December 19th, the Heuberg Arena and the Walmendinger Horn will also open in time for the start of the Bavarian Christmas holidays – meaning that all mountains of the OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN ski resort will be open for winter skiing.
“We are really looking forward to this moment. We prepared early and are giving our all every day to ensure our guests can enjoy a truly great day of skiing – with fresh mountain air, panoramic views, and perfectly groomed slopes,” says Johannes Krieg, CEO. “And of course, we are also hoping for good snow – for even more winter fun and many unforgettable days out on the mountain.”
With a focus on comfort, safety, and a harmonious winter experience, OK Bergbahnen has implemented and completed several quality and modernization measures at the start of the season.
The focus is deliberately on further developing existing facilities: "We are improving existing lifts and slopes instead of developing new ones – quality in operation and respect for the natural environment should remain in balance," says Dr. Andreas Gapp.
- Kanzelwand
The last bottleneck was eliminated and the valley run widened – resulting in noticeable gains in comfort and safety. In addition, the snowmaking system was optimized to further improve energy efficiency and snow reliability.
- Heubergarena
Here, too, the existing snowmaking system was significantly improved to further strengthen the foundation for consistently good slope quality.
- Söllereck
A particular highlight is the revival of a piece of mountain railway history: The Höllwies lift at Söllereck – Germany's longest T-bar lift in the 1960s – has been reactivated and modernized. This makes one of the most beautiful slopes in Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal accessible to everyone again, and the offerings for beginners and families are specifically enhanced.

The "new" Scheidtobelbahn cable car will unfortunately not be operational in the 2025/2026 winter season, but there are still many good reasons to visit the Fellhorn and the Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal mountain railway area:
