There's a lot to discover at the valley station

Before you set off on this beautiful and scenic hike, it's worth stopping at the valley station of the Söllereckbahn cable car. Here you can test out the year-round toboggan run Allgäu Coaster. The toboggans are mounted on rails and can be used in any weather!

Right next to the Allgäu Coaster is a playground for the little ones. With the wooden SölliBully, little explorers can feel like real snowcat drivers.

Let's start the hike

The kids are really excited after so much fun, and now you can begin the hike! From the Gasthof Seeweg near the Söllereck valley station, the trail leads down towards Oberstdorf. The well-maintained hiking trail is easy to follow and is mostly downhill, passing through stunningly beautiful forests. After about 30 minutes, you'll reach the Hotel Waldesruh, from where you'll enjoy a sensational view of Oberstdorf and the Nebelhorn:/bergbahnen/nebelhornbahn/. From there, it's just a short, somewhat steep descent to the crystal-blue Stillach River. Cross the bridge and follow the signs to Oberstdorf. After a short and very beautiful walk through lush meadows, you'll reach the spa town of Oberstdorf.
