How we understand our work
You can trust us on one thing: the OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN are more than just a mountain railway network. With the help of exciting technologies and new organizational structures, we actively shape the development of the entire region. This makes us an important and innovative employer in Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal.
That's why we demand the same from our employees as we do from ourselves: taking responsibility, teamwork, and mutual trust. After all, we all play an important role in the company: We not only ensure smooth operations, but also create unforgettable mountain experiences for our guests.
The mountain therefore determines our work. From the weather to the guests to new technologies – every day brings new, exciting challenges. This gives all employees the opportunity to contribute and strengthen their own skills. All of this is what makes our workplace so unique – so different.
Working at OK-Bergbahnen
Just as the mountain determines our work, the cable car operation determines our working hours. This means we only work until the last cable car departs. This is a particular benefit in the hospitality industry, where staff often work late into the evening. Instead, we have plenty of time for our personal lives and family alongside our jobs.
We also work on the cable cars and chairlifts with new, innovative technologies. This is demanding and sometimes challenging. Nevertheless, the safety of guests and colleagues must be guaranteed throughout the entire cable car operation. So, we also work with responsibility.
At OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN, we value this dedication – whether from the chef up on the mountain or the operator on the cable car. That's why we offer our employees numerous additional benefits in addition to their salary:
- Free parking
- Free mountain railway rides: season or annual passes
- Free ride pass for other mountain railways (Austria and Germany)
