Practicing at the avalanche transceiver training area does not replace professional training. Please only leave the secured area if you are familiar with the terrain and the avalanche situation allows it.

Avalanche safety in the mountains
The avalanche transceiver training area complements our mountain safety measures, which ensure you a safe skiing experience. You won't notice much of it, and that's a good thing – you should be able to concentrate on skiing.
Some of our safety measures:
- At the Höfatsblick station, there's an additional device you can use to check the status of your avalanche transceiver.
- Ski routes* allow you to ski off-piste, where avalanche protection measures are in place within the immediate vicinity of the signs – you'll find exciting ungroomed runs, for example, on the Fellhorn and the Walmendingerhorn.
- For protection on the slopes, we carry out avalanche control when necessary. With heavy snowfall, the slopes may open later, but you'll be safer on the slopes.
You can help us increase safety by avoiding unnecessary risks. Please stay on the marked and secured slopes if you lack alpine experience and cannot assess avalanche danger. Even if you are familiar with the area, always check the avalanche warning services for the region. This will protect not only yourself but also mountain rescue teams from dangerous operations.
