Sustainability at the new Nebelhornbahn
The topic of sustainability is naturally a must when building a new cable car. In terms of technology, for example, the bicable gondola requires significantly less energy than a monocable gondola. Natural resources were also used in the construction of the buildings, and groundwater is heated using water heat pumps to sustainably heat the buildings in the valley.

New supports had to be installed for the new bicable gondola. A kestrel had already been living in support 1 before the renovation, and we hope that it will return to its old home. Support 1 is therefore not a disturbing foreign body in nature for it, but rather a useful location for its nest. For this reason, we have installed incubators for the falcon's offspring at support 1 and at the Seealpe station.
