After the early onset of winter with considerable amounts of natural snow enabled the Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal mountain railways to have the earliest season start ever at Söllereck, the innovations and investments in snow and slope management are now paying off.
With the prospect of wonderfully sunny ski days, the Nebelhorn and Ifen mountains are starting the winter season as planned.
Winter sports enthusiasts can look forward to a diverse range of slopes.
There are also some new features for families at the Nebelhorn.
Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal mountain railways demonstrate the highest level of skiing and slope expertise.
Winter sports enthusiasts and snow lovers can now pursue their passion with excellent slope conditions thanks to the combination of natural and artificial snow on the mountains of the Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal mountain lifts. "The significant investments in snow and slope management are now paying off," says a delighted CEO Andreas Gapp.
"Thanks to the dedicated work of our staff on the mountains, coupled with technical support, we can offer our guests a wide range of slopes and lifts even before Christmas."
Starting this weekend, a total of five ski areas will be available to winter sports enthusiasts within the Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal mountain lift network. The Ifen opens for the winter season on Friday, December 12th. The Nebelhorn follows on Saturday, and the Söllereck will also open from Friday to Sunday, under beautiful sunshine.

Families are spoiled for choice.
For the youngest skiers and beginners, Burmi's Winter World and the Gaisbühllift are open at Ifen.
Sölli's Winter World at Söllereck can be combined with rides on the Allgäu Coaster.
A new addition is the "Seealpe Family Area": https://www.ok-bergbahnen.com/erlebnis-spass/mehr-winterspass/family-area-seealpe at Nebelhorn. A diverse range of skiing and tobogganing options has been created especially for families at the mid-station around the Seealpe mountain inn.
The Seealp lift for slightly more advanced beginners serves as a training area before venturing up into the high-alpine terrain to the Koblat lift. New features include a ski school area at Seealpe for the first few days on skis and a toboggan run, which complements the offerings at the NTC Toboggan Park.
On foot into the white winter wonderland
Winter hikers can also look forward to a wide range of options on the various mountains served by the Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal cable cars.
The board of the Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal cable cars extends its sincere thanks to the dedicated teams at the mountain stations. "The staff worked with exceptional commitment to ensure that our guests could enjoy the view of Lake Constance from the Gottesacker plateau on the Ifen," said Andreas Gapp.

The "new" Scheidtobelbahn cable car will unfortunately not be operational in the 2025/2026 winter season, but there are still many good reasons to visit the Fellhorn and the Oberstdorf Kleinwalsertal mountain railway area:
