"We have decided to launch jointly with our German regions because, due to its geographical location and the efforts of local politicians and businesses, Kleinwalsertal enjoys a special status – also with regard to the German travel warning. This must be preserved and not jeopardized," explains board member Dr. Andreas Gapp.
Capacity restrictions also provide security for guests
From the start of the season, a 50% capacity restriction will apply to the enclosed cable cars in Austria. However, from the cable car company's perspective, this regulation would not have been necessary due to the comprehensive hygiene concept that proved successful in the summer. "At the same time, based on many discussions, we also recognize that there is a customer need here," says fellow board member Johannes Krieg. "Whether we will also apply this at the start of the season in Germany remains to be assessed, depending on the requirements of the German federal government. We can then draw on the experience of our colleagues in the Austrian regions," Johannes Krieg continues.
