The Allgäu region's cultural scene is stirring again. The program also includes the special COVID-19 edition of the Allgäu Literature Festival. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the festival is offering an unusually small, but as always, very fine, program this year. The original plan was to feature 33 readings, discussions, and literary performances, which were supposed to take place in May of this year. Some organizers were able to postpone the dates to this fall. Now, nine renowned authors will appear on charming Allgäu stages and present their new books. From Fischen to Buchloe, from Mindelheim to Oberstdorf, this autumn will be full of literature.
Skiers Jochen Mesle and Max Kroneck set out on their most extraordinary ski tour yet. The mission: to cycle from Germany to the Mediterranean Sea to Nice, skiing the most beautiful mountains along the way: 42 days, 1,800 kilometers, 35,000 meters of elevation gain, and 50 kilograms of luggage on each bike. All under their own steam. The most fascinating mountain story of the year, which thrilled audiences as a documentary and won several awards at mountain film festivals.
In addition to their 30-minute film, the two authors will read stories from their book and show impressive photos.
