Dear Walsers, dear friends of OK Bergbahnen,
In light of the discussions surrounding summer operations at the Ifen, we would like to inform you about our new "Mountain Scape" concept, which was developed in partnership with Inatura – Adventure Nature Show in Dornbirn.
Our idea is to introduce guests to the Ifen and the Gottesacker in a playful and informative way, without allowing them to enter the area themselves – in other words, "ride up" without "going out." Sounds crazy? It is! If you want to know how it works, just click on our "new film": https://youtu.be/5PY7lgFFc18 and find out more.
Two more words about the process:
We have had many excellent discussions with representatives of various interest groups, the authorities, and numerous experts in the valley and beyond. The feedback on the product has been very positive from all sides so far. We are convinced that we have developed an attraction without any impact on the local fauna and flora. Naturally, all elected representatives were also informed about our intention and the project. The idea developed with Inatura ensures that the sensitive natural area at the Ifen remains protected, but that understanding of it grows among all visitors. The only concern we heard was: "and just open the door for her." We can allay that concern. Why? In our application, we requested the requirement that the building be closed in the summer and that no one can come in or out. Anything else would require a new process with corresponding party representation. And very importantly: that was, is, and will not be our goal. Because we know the importance of the cemetery.
