Originally scheduled to open on March 1st, the Olympiabahn lift will be able to start operating early on February 8th due to the favorable conditions.
Worth getting up early for that!
Perfect piste conditions attract early skiers to the Ifen in Kleinwalsertal. Thanks to the favorable conditions, the "Early Bird" will be back there on February 8th: well-rested skiers will be rewarded with the finest snow until the end of the season on April 14th. The Olympiabahn lift takes its guests up as early as 7:45 a.m., as the best piste conditions are found in the early morning hours.
Towards the sun on the Olympiabahn lift
Those who want to be first on the pristine slopes will need to set their alarm a little earlier during the Early Bird ski days. The crystal-clear mountain air of the Ifen and the grippy slopes ensure exceptional snow fun! The morning sun bathes the Olympia and Schäfalp downhill runs in a golden, dreamy panorama, making the still-unskied slopes shine and sparkle. After the first turns in the snow, the next turn heads to the Tafel & Zunder mountain restaurant. From 9:15 a.m., delicious coffee specialties or homemade "Fit & Vital" granola are available on the sun terrace as a reward. After the first outdoor experience, breakfast tastes twice as good and fortifies you for the next adventure in the two-country region of Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal. Incidentally, MyMountainClub members receive an additional 20 points for getting up early. So get on your skis and head off to the slopes!
