To ensure all OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN facilities are optimally prepared for the ever-approaching winter season, November is the time for overhauls. Summer operation of the cable cars ends this year on Sunday, November 6th. The only exception for hiking enthusiasts? Wednesdays at the Fellhorn! And: On the weekend, the Allgäu Coaster at Söllereck also invites you to take action-packed rides down into the valley.
Go high again with the Fellhornbahn
Spoiled by golden October days, the cable cars aren't completely writing off the autumn hiking season in the two-country region. Mountain enthusiasts have the opportunity to take the Fellhornbahn to the Schlappoldsee station and start a tour there on selected dates.
Only in good weather, the Fellhornbahn cable car will be open for fans of a late autumn mountain hike on the following days:
• Wednesday, November 9, 2022
• Wednesday, November 16, 2022
• Wednesday, November 23, 2022
Each day:
First ascent: 11:00 a.m.
Last ascent: 2:00 p.m.
Last descent: 2:30 p.m.
Tickets for the ascent and descent are also available at a special rate, in line with the special service: Adults pay €15, children and teenagers travel free when accompanied by a parent. While the restaurant is closed, the restrooms at the Schlappoldsee station are available.
Holders of a OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN season ticket for winter 2022/23 will have another opportunity to use the cable car without ski equipment during this special operation. The ticket is valid from the date of purchase and can therefore be used for an autumnal ascent before the start of winter operations in December. The Glacier Card, Super Snow Card, and Citizen Card are also valid, but not the Bergbahnen-Inklusive-Ticket.
Tobogganing fun on the Allgäu Coaster
On weekends, another special operation awaits at Söllereck during the overhaul: The Allgäu Coaster, one of the region's most beautiful year-round toboggan runs, will be open to guests on November 12th/13th and 19th/20th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting. Tobogganing on rails is always a spectacular experience, especially for families: 850 meters long, with built-in jumps and waves and finally over a bridge over the main road - pure action for all ages! Right next to it, the SölliBully, a playground in the shape of an XXL snowcat, invites you to climb around and let off steam.
