Kick-off signal for the 2022/23 ski season: Skiing begins in Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal on Friday, December 9th
Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal, December 6, 2022 – The time has come: The ski season at the OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN (mountain railways) is starting! Just in time for the scheduled start of the season, the Fellhorn and Kanzelwand lifts will open on Friday with their first slopes. The Gaisbühl lift on the Ifen mountain follows a day later, and on December 16th, all other ski areas will follow suit.
The setting is ready! The snow groomers have done a fantastic job, cutting the distinctive grooves into the freshly groomed slopes. So, it's time to wax your skis and unpack your winter sports gear, because the low special prices and the winter weather forecast are inviting you to start the ski season. The family slope opens at the Fellhornbahn cable car, and the Zwerenalp slope opens at the Kanzelwandbahn cable car. A week later, the Nebelhorn, Söllereck, Heuberg, Walmendingerhorn, and Ifenbahn cable cars will also switch to winter mode, and the range of slopes on the Fellhorn and Kanzelwand will gradually expand.
