In addition to a net profit of €785,000, the brand relaunch and investments at Ifen were considered successful projects. Starting in winter 2018/19, the upgraded ski slope will lead to the new family slope on the Fellhorn, significantly expanding the offering in the two-country region.
Pleasing result with profit distribution
Kleinwalsertaler Bergbahn AG can report a net profit of €785,000. Supervisory Board Chairman Michael Lucke commented: "We can look back on a positive fiscal year with a great result. We performed well in a challenging market. Our offerings have been well received, and we increased our guest numbers by 1.2%. This increased our revenue and profit. We are therefore pleased to be able to make a distribution to our shareholders again this year."
Extensive investments at Ifen
Extensive investments have been made at Ifen over the past two years: the new Olympiabahn cable car, two new gondola lifts, Ifen I and Ifen II, and the Tafel&Zunder restaurant. "We were convinced of this project from the very beginning. The overwhelming response from our guests proves we're right. Ifen is a successful project and has developed into a unique premium ski resort with state-of-the-art facilities, diverse slopes, and an innovative dining concept. This has more than justified our investment in this project," explains CEO Dr. Andreas Gapp.
New brand identity
With the new brand identity unveiled in May 2017, all companies have united under the wings of the golden eagle. Gapp commented: "We've naturally stayed grounded with our new brand. As a company firmly rooted in the region, we've agreed on a common identity and developed our new brand, OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN. Clear, simple, and understandable: who we are, where we are, and what we do."
Family slope on the Fellhorn starting in winter 2018/19
Starting with the coming winter season, the offerings in the Fellhorn/Kanzelwand ski area will be expanded. "With this investment, we're making Kanzelwand/Fellhorn even more attractive, especially for families and beginners. The new family slope complements the existing offerings and highlights our focus as a winter sports region for multi-generational families," Gapp enthused. The blue slope created by upgrading the ski slope will run between the valley station of the Seeeckbahn cable car and the Höfle station.
