Rethinking mountain railways, rethinking offerings. Flexible, in tune with the times: That's the OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN's message for this winter. "We are changing ourselves and our world with us. That's why we're breaking new ground not only in hardware with the two new cable cars on the Ifen, but also in our offerings," says Andreas Gapp, CEO of Kleinwalsertaler Bergbahn AG.
Season ticket paid in installments
This year, for example, it's possible for the first time to pay for the season ticket in installments. The offer can be used online between October 1 and December 10. For an adult, this means: After a deposit of €22, €100 will be debited monthly from January to April from the credit card provided. This means that the ticket to unlimited skiing fun from the first to the last day of the season is no longer a one-time cost, but is spread over the winter months. Of course, the total amount can still be paid in one go. For an additional €25, you can also get a separate parking ticket, valid throughout the season and in all cable car parking lots. These are exclusively for winter sports enthusiasts, ensuring your car is safely stored while you're on the slopes.
Family Bonus XXL
There's a significant new price advantage for families with multiple children. With the OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN season ticket, you'll only be charged for one child, and all additional children will travel free. Incidentally, all season tickets are valid from the time of purchase. Early bookers don't have to wait for the onset of winter, but can still use their ticket for autumn hikes in the mountains.
Unity in the fare system
The new ticket features also include a new day ticket. Carving from mountain to mountain or country to country with just one ticket – this is now possible without any complications starting in the 2017/18 winter season. This year, the OBERSTDORF · KLEINWALSERTAL BERGBAHNEN are offering a joint ski pass for all mountain railways. "This step makes our tariff structure clearer and easier to understand for guests. The fact that we have agreed on a joint day ticket is a sign of our unity and close cooperation," explains board member Andreas Gapp. There is also an attractively priced alternative for those who want to spend their day skiing exclusively on the slopes at Söllereck: a dedicated day ticket for the family mountain for €35.50.
Community building with benefits for fans of the region
Since the beginning of October, MyMountainClub has also been a new platform for mountain enthusiasts who want to stay connected with the mountain railways all year round. Features such as interest-based newsletters and a powder alarm are popular with members. Specially designed for winter operations, a new ski ticket, exclusively for club members, rounds off the free, accessible package.
Instead of going to the cash register, go straight to the turnstile
The so-called MyMountainCard-Flex is activated once online and linked to your own credit card. The fun on the slopes then begins for the holders without detours or waiting at the cash register directly at the turnstile. The amount is then debited, saving time and hassle. The optional integration of Skiline makes it possible to review the day's skiing in the evening based on the automatically recorded distance traveled and altitude. As with the season ticket, you also have the option of purchasing the season parking ticket for 25 euros when you purchase the MyMountainCard-Flex.
