From the mountain station of the Söllereckbahn (1358 m), hike south past the Söllerhaus and follow the signpost towards Söller-Alpe/Fellhorn. The route initially climbs gently through the forest, then crosses the slope below the Söllereck at a constant elevation. After about one kilometer, you reach the Söller-Alpe (1522 m). From there, the path winds up to the western ridge, where a narrow path – steep in places and tricky when wet – leads up to the Söllereck (1706 m).
The route now follows the border ridge between Germany and Austria. The ridge path is often narrow and exposed here as well. Always heading southwest, it first leads to the Schlappoldkopf (1968 m), then climbs to the summit of the Fellhorn (2038 m).
After a short descent to the Fellhornbahn mountain station, the trail continues down to the Gundsattel (1,808 m). From there, continue up to the Kanzelwandbahn mountain station at 1,957 m. The cable car takes you comfortably down to Riezlern, and the green Walser buses run every 10 minutes directly opposite the valley station. Line 1 takes you back to the Söllereckbahn parking lot.
Duration: 4 to 5 hours, 830 m ascent, 230 m descent
