Alternative to Trail 1

The starting point is also the mid-station of the Ifenbahn cable car or the Ifenhütte. From here, the route continues to the valley station of the Ifenbahn cable car, as with Trail 1, but not along a simple forest road, but rather along an alpine hiking trail. For families with small children, we generally recommend Trail 1!

Natural hiking trail

For true nature lovers, Trail 1a is perfect. It leads steadily downhill on a natural hiking trail, with approximately 300 meters of elevation gain from the mid-station to the valley station. The trail runs through small forests and clearings, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. You'll reach the valley station in about an hour; a stop at the Auenhütte is recommended!
