The Ifen with its spectacular cliffs and impressive ´Gottesacker´ plateau offers the perfect terrain not only for ambitious hikers, but is also the right spot to enjoy unhurried walks. In summer, the mid-level station of the mountain cable car on 1.586 meters is starting point for walks, hikes and challenging day trips.
There is so much so see here: the easily accessible panoramic walkway leads you in about half an hour to a lookout point below the Ifen plateau, where hikers are rewarded with a lush alpine flora. And those who prefer to walk back down to the valley can use either the paved forest road (1) or the natural trail (1a), which however is not suitable for baby strollers.
The moutain restaurant ´Tafel&Zunder´ is closed in summer, however you can use the bathrooms there.
